Visitors and buyers need to find the rules of the site.

What it is

An app that collects visitor data through analytics or trackers needs a privacy policy. An app that takes payments needs terms of service and a refund policy.

Why it matters

Privacy law in many places asks for a findable policy, and payment providers ask for terms. Buyers read them before they pay, and missing pages cost trust and sales. Tenty marks the finding low and possible, since the page can exist under a name the check does not know.

How Tenty checks it

Tenty reads your page and scripts for trackers and payment providers, and looks for a link or text that names a privacy policy or terms.

How to fix it

Publish the policy and the terms and link them from every page, in the footer and at the payment step. Name the tools that collect visitor data in the policy.
