Terms of use
Here is the deal: using Tenty means you agree to what is below. We tried to keep it plain. If something here sits wrong with you, tell us why and hold off using the service.
1. Who is who
- Tenty (or "we"): Soft Signal SRL, the company that runs the service.
- Owner: a person with a Tenty account who has verified a domain.
- Visitor: anyone who opens the website or runs a demo scan.
"You" means whoever is reading, Owner or Visitor. When a rule is for only one of them, we say which.
2. The service
Tenty checks the live app behind an address from the outside, after every deploy and on a schedule, and shows the findings to the Owner with evidence, a command that reproduces each one and a fix. Every security check is free for a verified Owner on every plan. Paid plans add things like a faster pace, alert channels and tools that cost real resources.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with a link sent to your email, so give an address you can read.
- Whatever happens under your account is on you, so keep your sign-in links and your tokens to yourself.
- You need to be at least 16 to use Tenty.
4. Verified domains
Tenty shows full results for a domain to its verified Owner. You verify a domain with a DNS record or a file on your site, and you confirm that you control it. One verification covers the domain and its subdomains.
Tenty checks from time to time that the record or file is still in place. When it is gone for several checks in a row, the verification lapses and the results close until you verify again.
5. What Tenty does to your app
- Tenty makes ordinary requests from outside, at a calm pace, and names itself in its user agent.
- Every request is listed in the check log of the app, which you can read.
- A challenge page or a rate limit stops the scan. Tenty then asks you to let it in with the access token it gives you, so your firewall can recognise it.
- Some checks read public data of your backend, like tables that answer to a public key. Tenty reads and reports, and it leaves your data where it is.
- Your hook address starts a scan from your pipeline. Keep it secret, it is the door.
6. Demo scans
Anyone can run a demo scan from the landing page, a few times an hour. A demo shows counts and public kinds of findings, and full evidence stays with the verified Owner of the domain.
7. Acceptable use
- Use Tenty on apps you own or have the owner's go ahead to check.
- Verify domains that are yours.
- Use the hook and the scan button at a reasonable pace.
- Report a wrong finding with the button on the finding, a person reads it.
- Keep Tenty secure and running for everyone.
Accounts that use Tenty against other people's sites, or in ways that put the service at risk, get suspended or removed.
8. Findings and what they mean
A finding is information. Its confidence says how sure Tenty is: confirmed, likely or possible. A green light says Tenty found no issue in what it could see, and a grey light says Tenty could not read the app. Decisions about your app and your users stay with you.
9. AI on the platform
Tenty finds issues with plain code that gives the same answer every run. An AI model writes the fix prompt for each kind of finding, from the name of the kind and its meaning. It works from the kind of finding alone.
10. Plans and fees
The plans and their prices are listed on the landing page. When you choose a paid plan, its price and billing period are shown before you pay. Plans are a first guess and we say so when they change.
11. Content you submit
The addresses you add, the notes you write and the reasons you give when you set a finding aside stay yours. You give us the license to store and process them so the service works. Make sure you have the right to share what you submit.
12. Intellectual property
Tenty's name, design, code and texts belong to Tenty. Your app and your data belong to you.
13. Leaving and suspension
Leave whenever you want. Remove an app and its findings and scan history are erased. Write to public@tenty.dev to close your account and we erase it within one month.
We can suspend or end access when these terms are broken, when the service is misused or when people are put at risk. We give notice when we reasonably can.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
Tenty is in beta, still being shaped. It finds what an outside look can find, and the service is provided as it is.
15. Limitation of liability
Where the law allows it, our liability excludes indirect or consequential damages from using Tenty, including decisions you make based on its findings.
16. Data location
Your data lives in Europe, on servers in Germany, and is handled with the GDPR as our standard. The privacy policy has the details.
17. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms and put the new date at the top. Using Tenty after a change means you accept it. These terms follow the law of Moldova, and we work to comply in full with European Union law, including the GDPR. Questions go to public@tenty.dev.
18. Your soul
By accepting these terms you grant Soft Signal SRL a non-exclusive, worldwide license to your immortal soul. If you read this far, write to public@tenty.dev with the word soul in the subject and we give it back with our thanks. Say so in the email and your name goes on a list of people who read terms.
Section 18 sits outside these terms and is here as part of a case study on how many people read terms of service.
